About the role
For a digital agency environment in Düsseldorf, this position is aimed at someone who thinks beyond static visuals and evaluates how design performs across feeds, reels, stories, ads and other digital touchpoints. The role centers on creating work that is visually strong, brand-appropriate and tailored to the specific behavior of each channel and audience.
You will be involved in the creation of social assets, campaign visuals, motion content and smaller video-based formats. The focus is on digital-first design that can capture attention quickly, adapt across platforms and support broader communication goals.
Responsibilities
- Create designs for social media, digital campaigns, paid media assets, content formats and cross-channel communication initiatives.
- Develop eye-catching visuals for different platforms, formats and target groups.
- Plan and produce motion-based content, ranging from simple animations to short social videos and campaign assets for always-on communication.
- Use a strong sense of timing, storytelling, editing rhythm, movement and visual hooks.
- Work closely with colleagues from creative, copy, editorial, consulting, strategy and media teams.
- Translate brand requirements, campaign ideas and content concepts into compelling visual executions.
- Independently turn existing ideas, rough sketches or concepts into suitable design and motion assets.
- Think beyond single visuals and develop format series, variations, adaptations and campaign mechanics.
- Ensure every asset is channel-appropriate, on-brand and visually polished.
- Track digital trends, platform behavior, motion formats and relevant tech developments, and bring useful ideas into projects.
Requirements
- Practical experience in designing digital communication materials, ideally gained in an agency or similar creative setting.
- A strong portfolio featuring social assets, digital campaign work, motion pieces or animations.
- Excellent sense of layout, typography, imagery, composition, motion and digital brand expression.
- Sharp attention to detail, quality and clean execution.
- Understanding of platform logic, format requirements, user behavior and current visual trends.
- Experience with motion production, animation, editing or the creation of short digital video formats.
- Ability to develop strong visual solutions independently from concepts, briefs and brand guidelines.
- Interest in the intersection of creativity, content, media, technology and data-informed design.
- Proactive, self-directed and dependable way of working.
- Team-oriented mindset, enthusiasm and willingness to develop ideas collaboratively.
- Very good German skills and good English skills.
