Data Analyst / Developer (SQL, Power BI, Python - AI/ML)

Role overview

Larsen & Toubro is looking for a motivated data professional with hands-on to developing experience in SQL, Power BI, and Python with AI/ML exposure. What you will do

• Build, improve, and support SQL queries used for reporting and data extraction.
• Clean, transform, and verify datasets to ensure they are reliable for analysis.
• Work with relational database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Support the creation of data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Design dashboards and reports in Power BI with an interactive and user-friendly approach.
• Develop data models, DAX measures, and KPI tracking views.
• Turn business needs into meaningful visual dashboards and reports.
• Check report outputs for consistency and accuracy.
• Help create and deploy entry-level machine learning models in Python.
• Use Python tools including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
• Carry out exploratory data analysis and support automation or predictive analytics tasks.
• Document code clearly so work can be reproduced and maintained.
• Partner with business teams to understand data needs and reporting goals.
• Assist senior analysts or data scientists on active projects.
• Prepare presentations, summaries, and supporting documentation.
• Continue learning new tools and methods as the work evolves.

Skills and requirements

• Strong SQL fundamentals, including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and preferably window functions.
• Practical experience with Power BI dashboarding, data modeling, and basic DAX.
• Python knowledge at a basic to intermediate level.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts such as regression, classification, and clustering.
• Working knowledge of Excel for analysis tasks.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Clear communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in growing a career in data analytics and AI.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline is required.
