Continuous Improvement Manager

About the role

Atlas Pressure Control is hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive process excellence across its Houston and Odessa operations. In this position, you will spot opportunities to improve workflows, remove waste, and strengthen performance across the business. The role also focuses on building a company-wide continuous improvement mindset through practical coaching and targeted professional development. Candidates should bring hands-on experience with Lean Six Sigma, Gemba, or Obeya methods and be comfortable both on the shop floor and presenting improvement plans to senior leaders.

What you'll do

• Lead improvement efforts across teams and locations, handling work from root-cause analysis through implementation.
• Run regular Gemba walks and support Obeya-based visual management to uncover constraints and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with department heads and field teams in Houston and Odessa to align processes and cut waste.
• Create and deliver development programs that strengthen continuous improvement skills across the organization, including training supervisors and managers in CI tools and methods.
• Facilitate cross-functional kaizen activities and improvement projects while measuring results such as cost reduction, faster cycle times, and better quality.
• Build and manage KPIs and dashboards to monitor the organization-wide impact of improvement work.
• Act as the in-house expert on Lean, Six Sigma, Gemba, and Obeya practices.
• Travel about half the time between Houston and Odessa to support onsite execution and training.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in process improvement or continuous improvement, preferably in oil and gas, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Gemba, or Obeya is required.
• Proven success leading improvement projects from identification through delivery with measurable outcomes.
• Background in creating and delivering training or professional development programs.
• Strong facilitation and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Comfort working across multiple locations and building strong relationships with both shop-floor teams and leadership.
• Must be based in Houston or Odessa, Texas, and willing to travel roughly 50% between the two sites.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Experience in oil and gas or industrial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with visual management tools and 5S methods is preferred.
