Role overview
DAZN is looking for a Content Editor to join its News team in New York. In this position, you will help shape sports coverage that keeps fans informed, entertained, and connected to the biggest moments, personalities, and stories in sport. The environment is fast-moving and digital-first, with work spanning written articles, video, social media, live coverage, and homepage presentation.
What the role involves
You will create compelling sports content for the DAZN News platform, combining speed, accuracy, and editorial judgement to cover breaking stories and trending topics. The role calls for someone who can work confidently across multiple sports, collaborate with international newsroom teams, and maintain strong standards under deadline pressure.
- Write articles on breaking news and popular stories across North American sports.
- Produce short-form video content using DAZN’s sports rights and on-demand footage.
- Optimise stories for search visibility to help increase reach and engagement.
- Work on coverage across several sports in partnership with global news teams.
- Cover major domestic and international sporting events.
- Run live blogs and contribute to real-time event reporting.
- Handle sub-editing duties and manage homepage presentation.
- Support DAZN’s social media publishing and editorial planning.
What you need to bring
This role requires a strong track record in both short-form and long-form sports writing, along with the ability to edit video and work with image tools. You should be comfortable interviewing sources, making sound editorial decisions, and applying SEO techniques to improve article performance. A deep knowledge of major sports is essential.
Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000 per year. The role is primarily on-site in DAZN’s New York office, with a hybrid working setup.
