Computer Aided Design Technician

Role overview

Nadhura Design is hiring a CAD Designer / CAD Technician to support its team in delivering premium joinery, custom furniture, and interior fit-out work for international projects. This position is based in Oranmore, County Galway, Ireland and involves close coordination with both clients and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create precise 2D AutoCAD drawings for joinery, millwork, furniture, and interior fit-out assignments.
• Develop detailed shop, manufacturing, and assembly drawings that can be used on the production floor.
• Review architectural drawings and convert them into documentation ready for manufacturing.
• Collaborate effectively with clients and internal production teams throughout each project.
• Handle several projects at once while staying on schedule and meeting deadlines.
• Keep track of drawing updates, material schedules, and all related project records.
• Make sure every drawing aligns with client expectations, manufacturing needs, and company standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Engineering, Product Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a similar field.
• At least 3 years of experience in joinery, millwork, or bespoke furniture work.
• Strong, advanced-level AutoCAD skills are required.
• A solid grasp of joinery construction techniques and manufacturing workflows.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and understand them accurately.
• Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working both on your own and as part of a team.

Desirable experience

• Experience producing 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
• Working knowledge of Rhino, Revit, or Navisworks.
