Civil Engineer

Role overview

Jazera Arabia Contracting is looking for a skilled and driven Civil Engineer to support its construction operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves planning, overseeing, and coordinating site activities so that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

What you will do

• Examine engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documents to understand the scope and technical requirements.
• Oversee on-site construction work and confirm that execution matches approved plans and design standards.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other project participants to keep work moving smoothly.
• Track project advancement and help ensure milestones are achieved within the planned schedule and budget.
• Carry out site visits, spot technical issues, and recommend practical solutions.
• Maintain adherence to quality controls, safety rules, and established project procedures.
• Draft technical notes, progress updates, and other project-related documentation.
• Assess material submissions, shop drawings, and method statements for compliance.
• Contribute to planning, allocation of manpower/resources, and cost management efforts.
• Help drive the delivery of projects from the initial stage through completion.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in construction, infrastructure, or building projects.
• Solid understanding of construction practices, engineering fundamentals, and current industry standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Background in site supervision and project coordination.
• Ability to review and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
