Overview

This is a senior executive opportunity within a major not-for-profit organisation working at scale to help tackle food insecurity across two states in Australia. Based in Western Sydney, the business has an established operating model, an extensive supply chain network and a substantial volunteer base, and is now looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer to guide its next phase of growth and impact.

The appointment offers hands-on leadership and meaningful community contribution. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will take ownership of the organisation’s operational agenda and have the freedom to strengthen, improve and scale core processes across the business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee operational budgets and major cost levers, collaborating with Finance on forecasting, reporting and performance monitoring to support sustainable long-term outcomes.

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring a track record of leading complex, high-volume operations in supply chain, logistics or distribution settings. Strong commercial judgement and financial capability are essential, along with executive-level experience managing budgets and cost drivers.
