About the opportunity

Farmlands Co-operative Society Limited is looking for a Category Coordinator to help deliver the activities and day-to-day work that support the wider category plan. In this role, you will assist Category Managers with category processes, performance, and operational follow-through.

What you will do

  • Keep category operations moving by handling documents, answering queries, and helping organise vendor meetings with clear action tracking and reporting.
  • Support marketing and promotional activity by preparing briefings, checking collateral, and distributing materials across Sales, Retail, and Marketing teams.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance by helping ensure plans are completed on time, rebates are tracked correctly, and agreements and regulations are followed.
  • Maintain accurate product and e-commerce information, including SKU setup, product details, pricing, and promotional changes.
  • Work closely with Category Managers, Supply Chain, Marketing, and other internal teams to strengthen category outcomes and improve processes.

About you

  • You are comfortable working on your own and taking ownership of tasks.
  • You bring strong analytical thinking, planning, organisation, and problem-solving ability.
  • You are confident using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You can work with financial information and use it to support recommendations and decisions.
  • Experience in a similar category coordination role would be an advantage.
  • Background in retail, especially rural retail, would be helpful but is not essential.
