Role Overview

The Carpenter will handle carpentry and related maintenance tasks to a high professional standard within the hotel. This role involves repairing, building, and maintaining wooden and other material-based structures and fixtures across the property.

Key Duties

You will be expected to maintain doors, windows, cabinets, shelves, counters, decorative elements, furniture, and other wooden fixtures throughout the hotel. The role also requires hands-on use of carpentry tools and equipment such as saws, drills, routers, sanders, planers, and chisels, with a strong focus on safe and effective operation.

In addition, you will diagnose issues in wooden structures and furnishings, identify practical solutions, and work with other hotel departments such as Housekeeping and Front Office to prioritize requests and complete work orders on time.

Qualifications and Technical Knowledge

The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a carpenter in a hotel setting. Strong knowledge of woodworking methods such as cutting, shaping, joining, and finishing is important, along with familiarity with local building regulations, safety requirements, and carpentry-related industry standards.
