Role overview
This is a senior individual contributor role based in Singapore, responsible for owning and expanding a strategic telecom account from an IT services and consulting standpoint. The position carries full accountability for the client relationship, including growth, executive engagement, deal development, and coordination with delivery teams.
The role suits professionals who have built their careers in IT services or consulting and are comfortable operating across sales, delivery governance, and CXO-level interactions.
Account ownership and growth
- Take full responsibility for the relationship with a large telecom client.
- Create and drive a long-term account plan to increase share of wallet.
- Spot new business opportunities across IT services, digital, cloud, and managed services.
- Serve as a reliable advisor to senior stakeholders on the client side.
CXO engagement
- Develop strong relationships with senior leaders such as the CIO, CTO, COO, and business heads.
- Run executive-level meetings, governance reviews, and business performance discussions.
- Bring client concerns back into the organization and address escalations early.
Consultative selling and commercial ownership
- Lead opportunity assessment, solution shaping, proposal development, and negotiations.
- Be accountable for revenue, margin performance, and forecast accuracy.
- Close large, complex IT services deals that may span multiple years and service towers.
Delivery and internal coordination
- Partner closely with delivery leaders to ensure strong execution.
- Track SLA compliance, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Work with legal, finance, solutions, and leadership teams to move deals and accounts forward.
Mandatory profile
Ideal candidates should have 12 to 20 years of experience in an IT services or consulting organization, with direct experience selling IT services to telecom clients. Prior experience in roles such as Client Partner, Account Partner, or Account Director is preferred.
Applicants should have handled large, complex enterprise or telecom accounts and should be comfortable with consultative, solution-led selling. Strong communication with CXO-level stakeholders, as well as solid commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, is essential.
