About EY and the role
EY is looking for an Associate to join its Audit team in Christchurch. This role is part of a globally connected organisation that focuses on helping people grow, developing diverse teams, and contributing to a better working world.
Based in the Ōtautahi (Christchurch) office, this position may be adapted for more flexible arrangements, including reduced hours. Candidates are encouraged to discuss possible options with the team.
What you'll do
You will support the data transformation team in designing new custom audit solutions that help digitise and automate key stages of the audit process. This creates more time to engage meaningfully with clients and internal teams.
In this role, you will also receive the tools, training, and opportunities needed to grow your capability and build a career that contributes to clients, communities, and EY's people.
Skills and experience needed
The position calls for a relevant degree and/or progress toward completion of CA ANZ or a CA ANZ-affiliated qualification. You should also bring experience in managing projects, with strong time management and communication skills. Familiarity with audit techniques, audit methodology, and audit documentation standards is also expected.
What EY offers
EY offers a workplace built on inclusion, collaboration, and global connectivity. You can expect development opportunities shaped around your goals, flexible working arrangements that support work-life balance, and a benefits package that includes a yearly wellness incentive, up to 8 weeks of flex leave each year, and up to 26 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave.
Inclusion and recruitment support
EY welcomes applicants of all ages, nationalities, abilities, cultures, sexual orientations, and gender identities. The organisation is committed to a fair and accessible hiring process and encourages candidates to share any support or adjustments they may need. Any information shared will be treated confidentially.
Additional information
There are 2 Associate positions available. The expected salary range is NZD 66,000 to NZD 81,000 per year, depending on skills and experience. This is a full-time role requiring at least 37.5 hours per week.
The selected candidate will need to complete employment screening through EY or an external third-party provider.
Language note
The posting also includes the Māori whakataukī: “Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi” meaning that with your contribution and my contribution, everyone thrives.
