Role overview
This remote contract position is focused on supporting the development of next-generation AI systems through rigorous academic research and high-quality analytical work. The role involves producing reliable, real-world inputs that help improve how models learn, reason, and perform.
Core responsibilities
- Carry out detailed research within your subject area and turn findings into well-supported, evidence-based insights.
- Work with advanced Word and PDF features to create, refine, format, and inspect complex documents, including tracked edits, form completion, and data extraction.
- Partner with teams across legal, healthcare, policy, and finance domains to contribute to varied project requirements.
- Convert dense research material into polished reports and presentations that meet Fortune 500-level expectations.
- Review academic papers, legal materials, or industry datasets and combine the information into usable project inputs.
- Check that all deliverables are accurate, consistent, and aligned with the required standards and instructions.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders and internal team members in both written and spoken form.
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in academic research, legal work, policy, healthcare, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree, PhD, or JD from a recognized institution.
- Strong hands-on experience reviewing and preparing Word and PDF files, including tracked changes, formatting, document review, and data extraction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong eye for detail.
- Comfort managing several priorities at once in a remote, deadline-focused setting.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on complex outputs.
- A track record of delivering high-quality, client-ready work.
Preferred background
- Experience supporting work for Fortune 500 organizations.
- Exposure to document-heavy workflows in legal, healthcare, policy, or financial operations settings.
- Evidence of academic or industry publications or presentations.
