About the Internship
This internship is with a Delhi-based deep-tech startup that develops AI-driven products for education and digital publishing. The team works on multilingual knowledge access through its digital library platform, which supports 22 Indian languages and serves colleges, universities, government organisations, and individual readers across India.
The role offers hands-on exposure to production-grade AI systems, with work spanning model inference, voice and translation workflows, full-stack integration, and EdTech deployments. Interns are expected to contribute meaningfully, work quickly, and build practical solutions in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and improve LLM and NLP workflows for multilingual Indian-language use cases, including inference, prompting, and evaluation.
- Work on self-hosted model deployment using tools such as llama.cpp and GGUF quantization, and connect models with FastAPI-based backend services.
- Help build voice and translation systems such as STT, TTS, and VAD, while exploring ways to reduce latency.
- Assist with data preparation, embedding creation, and implementation of retrieval and search features.
- Write maintainable Python code, run experiments, and present findings with clear performance metrics.

Additional Requirements
- Pursuing or already completed a B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related discipline.
- Practical experience with Python and at least one machine learning framework, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Prior exposure to LLMs, Hugging Face, or NLP projects through academic or personal work is advantageous.
Compensation and Perks
The internship offers a stipend of INR 15,000 to INR 20,000 per month.
Other benefits include a certificate, a letter of recommendation, informal dress code, and a five-day work week.
