Role overview
This position is for a UAV pilot responsible for operating unmanned aerial vehicles to capture data used in map creation and 3D model development across different projects.
Key duties
- Plan missions before each flight and ensure the operational approach is suitable for the assignment.
- Carry out pre-flight and post-flight inspections to confirm the aircraft is ready and safe.
- Operate the UAV carefully and follow safe flight procedures at all times.
- Upload, organize, and process captured data after missions are completed.
- Work closely with GIS teams and customers to support project delivery.
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain compliance during all operations.
- Handle equipment upkeep along with basic troubleshooting when issues arise.
Certification requirement
A valid RPC for small-category UAVs is required for this role.
