Supervisor-Laundry

About the Role

This position is for a Laundry Supervisor within the Housekeeping & Laundry department at an EDITION property in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role is full-time, non-management, and based on-site.

What You’ll Do

• Keep track of uniforms, linen, and monthly laundry supplies.
• Monitor laundry equipment, report faults, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to the supervisor or manager.
• Train team members on laundry procedures, machine usage, and safety practices.
• Make sure laundry requests from all departments are processed correctly and on time.
• Operate and oversee washing, dry-cleaning, and drying machines.
• Check the condition of linens and bath towels regularly.
• Support hiring, training, scheduling, performance review, coaching, discipline enforcement, motivation, and employee support activities.
• Follow all brand safety policies and procedures, including reporting maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and hazards, and completing required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
• Protect confidential information and company property.
• Work respectfully with colleagues and help the team meet shared goals and quality standards.
• Handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving items up to 25 lbs (11.3 kg) without assistance.
• Remain standing, sitting, or walking for long periods or an entire shift as needed.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually to identify defects.
• Reach above shoulders and below knees, bend, twist, stoop, and move through confined, elevated, uneven, or slippery areas.
• Use stairs and service ramps as part of regular duties.
• Respond appropriately to guest and employee concerns and communicate clearly and politely.
• Carry out other related tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience is required.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience is required.
• No license or certification is needed for the role.
