Role overview

This opening is for an SD-WAN Technical Architect based in Bengaluru. The position is centered on solution architecture and high-level design work for telecom and IT environments, with a strong focus on BSS/OSS domains and end-to-end solution planning.

Core responsibilities

• Own solution architecture and design activities for IT and telecom programs, with experience spanning BSS/OSS design and high-level end-to-end solution design.
• Work on product modelling, fulfillment, assurance, service activation, and inventory management processes.
• Drive high-level design efforts by collaborating with business teams, operations, product managers, portfolio architects, platform technical teams, developers, and testers to compare solution options and choose the most suitable BSS/OSS approach.
• Partner with architects to ensure design decisions follow the correct architectural direction and remain aligned with the telecom company’s IT and product strategy as well as established best practices.
• Learn new platforms and technologies quickly and adapt smoothly in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
• Influence business outcomes, run workshops, and coordinate with business and operational stakeholders.

Required skills and knowledge

• Hands-on understanding of SD-WAN product ecosystems from providers such as Versa, Velocloud, Nokia, and Cisco.
• Familiarity with customer order flow concepts such as Q2O, L2C, and T2R.
• Exposure to COTS platforms including Netcracker RI, SFDC, Cisco NSO, Amdocs, and Ciena.
• Knowledge of telecom products and technologies such as Enterprise Wave, Ethernet, Broadband, SD-WAN, SASE, vCPE, Security/Firewall, MPLS, and IP VPN.
• Network and service design experience.
• Awareness of architecture and telecom frameworks such as TOGAF, TM Forum standards, eTOM, TAM, SID, Open API, Integration Frameworks, and AWS is an advantage.

Eligibility

Candidates must hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization. The role calls for at least 8 to 10 years of experience in BSS/OSS design and related solution architecture work.
