This opportunity is being offered through a partner organization that handles the application review and follow-up process. The company is seeking a QA Tester located in the United States to support complex utility-sector system implementations, with a strong focus on Oracle Utilities platforms.
In this hands-on role, you will help ensure that enterprise solutions are reliable, accurate, and ready for deployment. You will work with clients, business analysts, and technical teams to turn business needs into well-structured testing approaches, test scenarios, and execution plans. The environment is fast-moving, highly collaborative, and centered on delivery quality, where careful testing directly contributes to successful go-lives.
You will verify key functions across billing, customer care, and meter data management modules, while also taking part in full testing cycles, user acceptance testing, production releases, and issue tracking. The position is well-suited to a QA professional who enjoys structured implementation work and thrives in cross-functional environments.
Key accountabilities

- Review Oracle Utilities applications such as CC&B and/or MDM to verify they meet technical and business expectations.
- Participate in UAT, deployment activities, and release checks.
- Log, monitor, and follow up on defects until closure, while raising risks and concerns with stakeholders as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in a matrixed setting to support on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Follow project schedules, methodology requirements, and quality standards, while contributing to process improvement.
Experience and qualification requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in manual QA testing in software or systems implementation settings.
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience testing Oracle Utilities CC&B and/or Meter Data Management (MDM) systems in the utility sector.
- Solid knowledge of QA practices, test case design, defect handling, and disciplined testing workflows.
- Ability to understand business needs and convert them into detailed, reusable test cases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort working in client-facing and cross-functional settings.
- Experience in Agile or other structured implementation approaches is considered an advantage.
- Exposure to automated testing, performance testing, or QA platforms is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Benefits and additional information
- Competitive pay based on experience and whether the engagement is full-time or contract.
- Chance to contribute to large-scale Oracle Utilities implementation programs.
- Remote working flexibility, with travel required across the United States and Canada for up to 80% of the time.
- Exposure to enterprise systems and leading utility technology solutions.
