Role Summary

The Project Reporting Officer is responsible for preparing Activity Reports, coordinating project evidence, and supporting the wider reporting process across RegenCo’s carbon and natural capital portfolio. This position suits an early-career professional with around 1 to 3 years of experience who has a strong interest in carbon farming, agriculture, pastoralism, or environmental land management.

You will collaborate closely with the pastoral, fire, technical services, and ecology teams to make sure project records are accurate, structured, and ready for submission. The role is permanent, full-time, and open to candidates anywhere in Australia, with flexible options for remote, hybrid, or office-based work from Byron Bay or Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Activity Reports and other reporting documents for carbon and natural capital projects.
• Organise, review, and maintain project evidence so documentation remains complete and audit-ready.
• Work with internal teams to collect information needed for reporting and compliance.
• Follow up with landholders and other external stakeholders to obtain missing evidence or supporting details on time.
• Support the broader reporting cycle and help keep project documentation accurate and well managed.
• Ensure files are stored and handled effectively using shared digital systems.
• Contribute to delivery deadlines in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
• Travel occasionally to project locations across regional Australia when required, around 2 to 4 times each year.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong administrative and coordination ability with excellent attention to detail.
• Clear written communication skills and the ability to produce concise, audit-ready documentation.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace tools such as Word, Docs, Excel, Sheets, and shared file systems.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
• Professional follow-up skills when working with internal stakeholders and external landholders.
• Self-directed approach and ease working within a distributed remote team.
• Interest in carbon farming, regenerative agriculture, pastoralism, natural capital, or environmental land management.
• Exposure to audit, compliance, or regulatory reporting settings is an advantage.
• Familiarity with carbon project frameworks or methodologies such as HIR, BCHM, SFM, and IFLM is beneficial.
• A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred, though comparable practical experience may be accepted.

Additional Information

This is a permanent full-time role. The company supports remote, hybrid, and in-office arrangements, with office locations in Byron Bay and Adelaide. Travel to regional project sites may be required 2 to 4 times per year.
