Role Overview

Excelerate is hiring a Project Manager to steer cross-functional initiatives that contribute to business objectives and stronger operational performance. This position partners with teams across the organization to organize, coordinate, and deliver projects that improve processes, support growth at scale, and strengthen execution.

The role calls for someone who can handle complex workflows, work effectively with a range of stakeholders, and bring relevant industry insight to the delivery of strategic priorities.

Project and Program Delivery

Take ownership of end-to-end execution for cross-functional initiatives, making sure they stay aligned with goals, timelines, and defined success measures.
Create project roadmaps, schedules, staffing needs, and performance indicators to support delivery.
Work with business, operations, and technical partners to keep projects moving and maintain shared alignment.
Spot risks and interdependencies early and put safeguards in place to reduce disruption.

Program Design and Support

Contribute to the creation and rollout of business programs that address operational and market requirements.
Turn business needs into clear, practical workflows by working closely with subject matter experts.
Make sure programs are built to meet performance goals, compliance obligations, and customer expectations.

Process Improvement and Operations

Review workflows across the business lifecycle to find opportunities for refinement.
Introduce process changes that improve efficiency, precision, and ability to scale.
Collaborate with technical teams on technology-driven improvements and workflow automation.
Partner with analytics teams to enhance reporting, measurement, and decision-support capabilities.

Stakeholder Communication

Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners.
Share regular progress updates, documentation, and status reports to keep everyone informed and aligned.
Ensure project goals support broader business and partnership objectives.

Compliance and Risk Management

Make sure project work follows regulatory obligations, industry standards, and internal controls.
Keep documentation and operating processes in a state that supports audits and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of project management experience in insurance, including strong exposure to commercial P&C and familiarity with underwriting and policy administration systems.
Prior experience in an MGA, wholesale brokerage, or specialty program setting is preferred.
Demonstrated success managing several cross-functional initiatives, complex workflows, and varied stakeholders in fast-moving environments.
Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging stakeholders, including executive presentations.
Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods.
PMP, Agile, or another comparable certification would be an advantage.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team across multiple time zones.
A bachelor’s degree is required.

Employment Type

Contract-to-hire arrangement (W2 to W2).

Compensation

The contract phase offers $70–$76 per hour and includes benefits eligibility, with an eventual transition to a full-time salary.
