Product Manager - Data and Analytics

Role Overview

A consulting firm is hiring a Product Manager focused on data and analytics for a 6-month contract in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role centers on delivering data products and dashboards that support reporting needs for the digital business and related stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the product from end to end, including implementation, ongoing upkeep, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and motivate engineers, business analysts, and QA professionals toward shared delivery goals.
• Translate business reporting needs into clear product direction for dashboards, data products, and related outputs.
• Build effective working relationships across technology teams and business partners to keep execution aligned with strategy.
• Work with business owners to shape and refine product direction so it supports longer-term organizational objectives.
• Handle budget and resource decisions to ensure the product delivers strong value.
• Develop productive vendor relationships and help ensure service delivery meets expected standards.
• Apply human-centered design thinking to build data solutions that are intuitive and user-friendly.
• Provide regular, detailed communication to stakeholders on progress, risks, and strategic updates.
• Maintain a RAID log and create actions to reduce project risks and protect delivery health.
• Prepare system changes for release and present product demonstrations to encourage feedback and ongoing improvement.
• Bring practical knowledge of cloud data platforms, ETL tooling, and visualization technologies to support product leadership.
