Procurement Specialist

Role overview

The organization is hiring a Procurement Specialist to support procurement operations in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This role focuses on purchase requisitions, purchase orders, tendering, supplier coordination, and contract-related follow-up.

Key duties

• Review Standard Credit Applications before submission and verify that all details are complete, accurate, and supported by authentic critical documents.
• Check submitted applications for errors and correct any issues found.
• Track the approval workflow and highlight any delays to BM/OSM when needed.
• Receive purchase requisitions, update pricing and delivery details, and generate purchase orders.
• Handle purchase and contract administration while maintaining at least five years of progressively responsible procurement and contract management experience.
• Make sure requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts receive the proper approvals.
• Draft the required tender paperwork and run RFP and RFQ processes.
• Evaluate submitted quotations and shortlist bidders for commercial discussions.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and vendors.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to secure and compare competitive rates.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Professional certification in Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is preferred but not compulsory.
• At least 5 years of relevant procurement and contract management experience is needed.
• Strong English communication skills are essential.
