Job Summary

This role is responsible for centralized load control, supporting continuous 24/7 coverage across hub and outstation flights.

Key Responsibilities

• Make sure load control work is accurate, practical, and aligned with procedures so the outcome meets high safety and quality standards.
• Confirm that aircraft are operated within approved weight-and-balance limits.
• Support operational efficiency by optimizing fuel uplift and trim.
• Help improve on-time performance by addressing load control-related issues.
• Coordinate with Ramp Operations, Cargo, Operations Control Center, and other external or internal parties to complete load control tasks safely, accurately, and on time.
• Follow Swissport standard operating procedures, the QHSE Manual, and all related policies.
• Take part in training with airline and/or related agencies in different areas of ground operations.
• Use the correct procedures, observe training instructions, and wear personal protective equipment as directed.
• Only carry out tasks you are trained to perform; if anything is unclear, stop and consult the Duty Manager.
• Share health, safety, and environmental knowledge with colleagues.
• Report incidents, near misses, unsafe actions, or unsafe conditions as required; when unsure, pause the task and ask a supervisor for guidance.
• Perform duties carefully and responsibly, avoiding risk to yourself, others, or the environment.
• Comply with the station’s QHSE Management System Manual and all manuals under your responsibility, while meeting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISAGO requirements.

Qualifications and Competencies

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the airline industry.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Licensed Load Control Certification is mandatory.
• Strong mathematical ability.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
