Role Overview
An opportunity is available for a NOC Engineer to join a client project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on a permanent basis. The role focuses on monitoring network and signaling activity, supporting incident handling, and helping maintain service quality across telecom and satellite-related environments.
Core Duties
- Keep a close watch on signaling paths, routing behavior, SIM-related flows, OSS integrations, and interactions across core network elements that affect satellite services.
- Review alerts, traces, logs, routing information, and event relationships to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Work with internal teams and partner NOCs to coordinate investigations, escalations, and resolution efforts.
- Track incidents carefully, maintain documentation, and support service restoration under time pressure.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or a closely related technical discipline is expected.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, or telecom operations credentials are considered an advantage.
- Applicants should bring 2 to 5 years of experience in NOC work, telecom monitoring, satellite operations, or core-network support.
- Prior exposure to signaling flows, routing tables, authentication paths, or mobile core components is needed.
- Experience in multi-vendor NOC environments, incident handling, and partner escalation workflows is preferred.
Technical Requirements
- Strong knowledge of telecom signaling such as Diameter, SIP, and NAS, along with routing basics and core-network behavior.
- Understanding of connectivity flows including SIM activation, attach procedures, mobility, and authentication.
- Ability to analyze network logs, traces, routing tables, and correlated events across multiple elements.
- Familiarity with OSS/NMS platforms, alarms, KPIs, dashboards, and monitoring systems.
- Exposure to satellite network components, gateways, or hybrid RAN-core flows will be helpful.
- Working knowledge of Linux, basic scripting in Python or Bash, and common troubleshooting utilities.

- Clear communication skills for coordination with internal stakeholders and external partner teams.
- Careful documentation habits and a high level of attention to detail.
- Comfort working in shift-based, fast-moving incident environments.

Tools and Platform Knowledge
- Experience with NOC and OSS/NMS platforms such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, SolarWinds, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with log analysis and observability tools like Elastic, Splunk, and Kibana, as well as packet analysis using Wireshark.
- Knowledge of ticketing and ITSM systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
- Working familiarity with Excel, dashboards, and documentation tools.
