MRP Controller and Planning Engineer

Role overview

This position is responsible for managing production and material planning from start to finish. The role focuses on running MRP effectively, keeping inventory under control, and working closely with multiple functions to ensure orders move smoothly from planning through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Work toward at least 92% on-time delivery and full compliance with sales orders.
• Carry out MRP activities and make sure BOMs and requisitions are issued accurately and on time.
• Prepare, schedule, and complete planned and production orders in line with forecasts and customer delivery dates.
• Handle routings and close production orders to support operational goals.
• Track the complete order cycle, including PR, PO, manufacturing, and shipment, and remove bottlenecks when delays occur.
• Partner with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to keep execution running smoothly.
• Improve inventory control and material movement to support production output, backlog reduction, and on-time delivery performance.
• Support digital planning enhancements and cost-of-goods-sold reduction through better processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end MRP and planning execution.
• Practical knowledge of SAP PP and MM, MS Excel, RFC, and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of production planning and control.
• Experience in inventory management and optimization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Good time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
