Role summary
This is a remote contract opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer. The selected professional will support a client assignment focused on designing, refining, and validating mechanical systems while maintaining alignment with relevant industry and regulatory standards. What you will do
- Create, evaluate, and test mechanical parts and systems to confirm they meet project specifications.
- Prepare engineering drawings, schematics, and supporting documentation with CAD-based tools.
- Run structural, thermal, and fluid-flow simulations to check and strengthen design performance.
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturers to improve production efficiency, manage cost, and support quality standards.
- Investigate failures, interpret test findings, and suggest practical design enhancements.
Required background and skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is expected.
- Hands-on ability with CAD applications such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent software.
- Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Understanding of manufacturing methods, materials science, and accepted industry practices.
