Role Overview

Cater Care is looking for full-time Utility Workers for a permanent role in Queensland. This position is based in Rockhampton and follows a drive-in, drive-out arrangement for local candidates from Rockhampton, Emerald, and Blackwater. The roster is 14 days on and 7 days off, covering both day and night shifts.

This opportunity is suited to people wanting to build experience in a fast-paced facilities services environment, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, cleanliness, and attention to detail.

What You Will Do

• Prepare, tidy, and pack down dining areas as part of the daily service routine.
• Use dishwashing equipment and keep kitchen areas, utensils, and dining spaces clean and sanitary.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and legislative requirements at all times.
• Deliver courteous and efficient service during busy meal periods.
• Assist colleagues in other areas of the site whenever support is needed.
• Maintain dining room standards by cleaning areas, restocking items, and checking crib food levels.
• Carry out general cleaning tasks such as waste removal, sweeping, and mopping.

What the Employer Is Looking For

The preferred candidate will bring kitchen hand experience of at least 12 months, along with a genuine focus on customer service. A positive, proactive approach and the ability to stay effective in a busy, time-sensitive setting are important. Good personal presentation and hygiene are also expected.

Applicants must hold a driver’s licence, either automatic or manual, and must be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident.

Additional Information

This is a permanent full-time role. Shortlisted candidates will need to either already have, or be willing to obtain, a police clearance and complete a pre-employment medical assessment. Only candidates progressing to the next stage will be contacted.
