About the team
This role sits within Cisco’s sales organization focused on the MNC segment. The team blends commercial sales skills, technical understanding, and close collaboration with partners and customers to build a healthy pipeline, hit revenue targets, and support clients in a fast-changing market. The group works cross-functionally and values diverse perspectives, strong relationships, and consistent execution.
Role impact
- Deliver quota against the assigned MNC account list across North India.
- Handle a high-volume, transactional sales motion by qualifying and progressing leads sourced through partners and marketing campaigns.
- Work with partners to keep ownership clear and move opportunities through to closure.
- Track industry shifts, market activity, and competitor moves to improve partner conversations and sales outcomes.
- Focus on direct customer opportunities and do not include MSP, wholesale, or partner-as-customer business.
- Spot cross-architecture opportunities and coordinate with the Mid-market Pod and partners to execute them.
- Maintain working knowledge of Cisco’s solutions, offers, campaigns, and partner promotions.
- Coordinate with the broader architecture team to keep the sales pipeline accurate and well-managed.
Key responsibilities
- Meet or exceed quota targets for the assigned MNC accounts in North India.
- Qualify and manage opportunities generated through partners and marketing efforts.
- Drive partner accountability through each stage of opportunity management and deal closure.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to strengthen engagement with partners.
- Focus on direct mid-market customer engagement.
- Partner with the Mid-market Pod and ecosystem partners to pursue cross-architecture sales.
- Stay current on Cisco’s portfolio, sales motions, campaigns, and promotions.
- Work with architecture teams to maintain pipeline hygiene and data accuracy.
Minimum requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in sales or inside sales, preferably in relevant industries.
- Ability to apply Cisco’s guiding principles in everyday decisions and interactions.
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in a Pod-based team structure.
- Capability to balance partner-led engagement with direct customer conversations across the territory.
- Good understanding of Cisco’s product portfolio and the ability to communicate the “One Cisco Story” clearly.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with partners and customers to drive results.
