Role Overview

In this housekeeping position, you will be responsible for keeping resident rooms and shared spaces clean, orderly, and sanitary. The work includes following cleaning schedules, coordinating with nursing staff on daily housekeeping needs, and complying with all hygiene and safety requirements.

Key Duties

• Help preserve residents’ dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a comfortable home-like atmosphere.
• Transport linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning materials on wheeled carts, and keep storage areas organized.
• Sanitize tools and surfaces with approved germicides or steam sterilization equipment.
• Clean bedrooms, corridors, lobbies, lounges, bathrooms, walkways, elevators, staircases, and waste containers to maintain health standards.
• Remove dust and restore shine to furniture and equipment.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers.

Candidate Profile

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Interest in and compassion for working with older adults.
