Role overview
Dawn Meats is hiring a Graduate Business Intelligence Developer for its Grannagh, County Waterford site. This is a permanent, full-time position within the Development team, offering a strong starting point for a graduate looking to build a career in data, reporting, and systems development.

In this role, you will report to the Senior Project Manager and help with the design, build, and upkeep of SQL and business intelligence environments. You will also collaborate with internal teams to gain practical exposure to business systems, reporting platforms, and data workflows across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Help create, develop, and roll out BI reports and dashboards.
- Support ETL activities by moving data between SQL and other systems.
- Contribute to software and application development work using suitable technologies.
- Assist in maintaining internal BI and SQL systems and resolving issues promptly.
- Work with users to understand reporting requirements and deliver data-focused solutions.
- Take part in team learning, knowledge exchange, and cross-training.
- Keep building technical capability and stay open to new tools and technologies.
- Support upgrades and routine maintenance tasks when needed.
Requirements
- A third-level degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- Good understanding of relational databases and the basics of SQL.
- Strong ability to analyse problems and work through solutions.
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working alone as well as contributing to a team.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and keen to learn in a busy environment.
- Useful but not essential: exposure to BI platforms such as Qlik or Power BI through study or projects.
- Useful but not essential: basic awareness of ETL methods or data warehousing ideas.
- Useful but not essential: familiarity with programming or scripting languages.
- Useful but not essential: knowledge of IT support settings or ticketing tools.
