Role Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is conducting a walk-in drive for a Fluent Commerce role at its Trivandrum location on 27 June 2026. The position is intended for experienced professionals with a strong background in eCommerce, order management, and technical solution design.

This role plays an important part in shaping project foundations by translating business needs into scalable technical solutions and ensuring robust integrations across enterprise systems.

Experience and Technical Focus

The assignment calls for 5 to 12 years of total experience, with at least 8 years in eCommerce and a minimum of 5 years working with Fluent eCommerce OMS. Experience with Fluent Commerce will be considered an added advantage.

Candidates should bring strong Java expertise, familiarity with NodeJS/Java microservices development, and sound knowledge of APIs and related technologies such as REST, JSON, GraphQL, and Swagger. Exposure to integrating payment gateways, fraud-check systems, and other third-party platforms is also important.

Core Responsibilities

The role involves converting business and functional inputs into scalable technical designs, Fluent workflows, and data models. The person will configure and adapt Fluent Commerce to fit brand-specific order journeys, fulfilment rules, and service-level commitments.

You will also design integrations with legacy platforms and enterprise systems such as Finance, CRM, WMS, PIM, and pricing engines using middleware and APIs. In addition, the role includes preparing and reviewing sequence diagrams, lifecycle workflows, and event-driven order orchestration models.

Other duties include defining technical standards, solution patterns, and deployment approaches to support consistent delivery. The role requires close engagement with Fluent Commerce on product features, configuration guidance, and roadmap alignment, along with technical leadership across design, development, testing, and deployment stages.

Required Skills and Knowledge

The ideal candidate should have strong technical depth in Java and a working understanding of cloud platforms, modern web technologies, and CI/CD practices. Good retail domain knowledge is also expected.

Analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, effective communication, and a strong sense of ownership are essential for success in this role.

Eligibility Criteria

Only candidates with full-time educational qualifications are eligible. Accepted qualifications include BE, B.Tech, MCA, M.Sc., or MS, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant IT experience after qualification.

Candidates who attended a TCS interview within the last 1 month should not apply. Referrals are welcome for this opening.
