Role Overview

The team is hiring an Equity Research Analyst who is strong in analysis, comfortable reading annual reports, and able to identify weaknesses in profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. The role involves researching listed companies and market themes to create investment insights and articles for Economictimes.com.

What You Will Do

• Carry out detailed research on listed companies, industries, and market movements.
• Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks, and company analyses.
• Track company performance, financial developments, and market news on an ongoing basis.
• Work closely with other analysts and team members to develop well-rounded sector viewpoints.
• Keep financial databases and models updated and accurate.
• Partner with the technology team to help shape products useful for investors and traders in real market conditions.

Qualifications

Applicants should be Chartered Accountants or hold an MBA in Finance from a premier management school. Candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in a broking or research house are preferred. Freshers with an exceptional academic or analytical track record and a strong desire to build a career in equity research may also be considered.

This is not a standard 9-to-5 role, so candidates looking for fixed office-hour work should not apply.
