Data Modeler

Role overview

LTIMindtree is hiring an experienced Data Modeler to work on data modelling initiatives across multiple domains. This role is suited to professionals who can build data models from the ground up for greenfield projects and who understand how to translate business needs into robust, scalable data structures.

What you will work on

• Create and evolve data models for new implementations across a range of business domains.
• Apply dimensional modelling, normalization, and denormalization approaches appropriately based on solution needs.
• Use data modelling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, Power Designer, or comparable platforms.
• Contribute to the design and lifecycle of data products.
• Work with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, as well as cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
• Support cloud-based data architecture using Azure services including Data Lake, Data Factory, and Azure SQL.

What you should bring

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in data modelling.
• Strong capability in designing data models from scratch for greenfield projects.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and normalization/denormalization methods.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Exposure to Azure cloud data services and modern cloud data warehouses.

Preferred strengths

• Advanced data modelling techniques.
• Business analysis skills to connect technical solutions with business requirements.
• Programming exposure in Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Project coordination experience with timelines and deliverables.
• Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Location

Possible work locations include Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Noida, and Chennai.
