About the role
KPMG New Zealand is seeking a senior leader to guide data and analytics consulting work that helps organisations improve decision-making, modernise processes, and adopt AI-led solutions. In this position, you will work in a fast-moving consulting setting, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful client outcomes across a range of industries.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to combine strategic advisory work, team leadership, business growth, and practical delivery. You will help shape how the practice evolves, contribute fresh thinking on emerging technologies, and support clients in turning data into measurable business value.
What you will do
- Take ownership of the delivery of high-value consulting assignments centred on data strategy, advanced analytics, and AI adoption.
- Work alongside senior stakeholders to create solutions that address client challenges and convert data into usable insights.
- Support business growth by drawing on your existing network to generate opportunities in the AI and analytics space.
- Help build the practice by developing approaches, tools, and thought leadership around new and emerging technologies.
- Coach, motivate, and develop professionals within the team while encouraging collaboration and ongoing learning.
What you need to bring
- At least 8 years of advisory experience, with a strong emphasis on data and analytics as well as AI-based solutions.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex engagements, guiding cross-functional teams, and delivering strong outcomes for clients.
- Working knowledge of data platforms, including architecture and integration, along with machine learning and newer AI technologies.
- A strategic outlook, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build durable professional relationships.
- A relevant tertiary qualification and, ideally, membership in a professional body related to your field.
