Role overview
Inizio Engage partners with a major biotechnology company across its commercial, patient solutions, and medical affairs areas. The organization is hiring a Clinical Educator to provide educational support to healthcare professionals and office teams in primary care and specialty settings, focused on a specific disease area. This role uses approved learning materials and must operate within program standards, compliance rules, and direction from Inizio leadership and the client.
What you’ll do
- Deliver detailed education on disease states and treatment management approaches to healthcare providers.
- Build trusted relationships with target customers and stakeholders through educational use of approved materials.
- Follow all legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in every discussion, resource, and field activity.
- Work within the boundaries and guidance established by the client and field partners.
- Complete mandatory Inizio and client training, including competency checks, within required deadlines.
- Keep accurate daily records of office visits and submit all required reports.
- Track time and expenses using the designated company systems.
- Maintain any required professional registration or license in line with company expectations and state law.
- Attend requested local and national meetings or conferences to stay informed and share best practices.
- Care for client and company equipment and materials according to instructions.
- Ensure all work follows company policy, the code of conduct, and external industry rules.
- Remain reachable during working hours to answer questions and complete assigned duties.
- Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and report any driving offenses or points accumulation immediately.
- Manage the assigned territory effectively and travel as needed, including overnight trips.
- Take on additional duties when requested.
- Note that Clinical Educators do not provide nursing services, medical advice, treatment advice, or product promotion for pharmaceuticals.
Requirements
- Current state-licensed healthcare professional; Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse is preferred.
- Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, BSN, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a specific disease state or related specialty area; respiratory experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry as a clinical educator or in sales is preferred.
- Strong professional communication and presentation ability.
- Comfort presenting to physicians and office staff members.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize work.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and territory demands.
- Self-motivated and proactive in approach.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical knowledge.
- Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays, and live within the assigned territory.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and use standard office equipment.
