About the organisation
For more than 120 years, AA has supported New Zealanders on the road and beyond. What began as a motoring club has evolved into a large, well-known organisation serving over a million members with a broad range of products and services. The business is now in a period of change, with a focus on becoming more connected, modern, and purpose-led. That means new chances to collaborate across teams, build capability, and contribute to meaningful change for members and customers.
Role overview
An opportunity is available for an Account Manager based in Auckland to look after a portfolio of commercial customers within the Mobility team. The focus of the role is to develop strong, long-term customer relationships, protect and expand existing business, and help drive revenue growth. You will act as a reliable advisor to your customers by learning their business needs, carrying out regular account reviews, and spotting ways to improve results and deepen partnerships.
In this position, you will work closely with teams across Product, Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, and Data & Analytics to deliver a strong customer experience. You will also support contract renewals and contribute to the performance of AA’s commercial offering, including its glass product portfolio.
What you will do

- Use customer data and insights to guide account decisions and actions.
- Support contract renewal discussions and help retain business.
- Contribute to improving outcomes for both customers and the organisation.
About you
The ideal candidate is commercially focused and enjoys developing relationships while uncovering growth opportunities in existing business. You should have experience managing B2B customers and be confident in increasing revenue from current accounts.
You will be comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders, using negotiation and influence effectively, and applying data-driven thinking to support decisions. A curious mindset, strong problem-solving ability, and sound critical thinking are important for success in this role.
Experience in fleet, vehicle leasing, insurance, automotive, automotive aftermarket, or other commercial B2B services will be viewed favourably.
Benefits and perks
- Complimentary AA membership for you and your family.
- Your birthday off, plus two wellbeing leave days each year.
- Hybrid working arrangement.
- Access to training and career development opportunities.
- Discounted insurance.
