Role Overview
This is a senior supply chain leadership role covering end-to-end operations, including planning, import and export activities, and regulatory responsibilities. The position has a strategic remit across the UK, EMEA, and Australia.
Key Responsibilities
You will guide the supply chain team and help shape an integrated inventory control approach that aligns planning, ordering, stock levels, cycle management, and cost control.
- Lead, coach, and support the supply chain team.
- Design, implement, and manage a cross-functional inventory control process covering planning, order cycles, stock levels, and related cost factors.
- Review current materials management processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyse customer demand, sales projections, and historical material usage to build and run make-to-order and make-to-stock replenishment plans.
- Compile customer delivery reports by gathering, analysing, and summarising data and trends to flag possible delays in advance.
- Support production scheduling by monitoring inventory, tracking production progress, and assessing factors that may impact schedules.
Requirements
The role calls for a seasoned supply chain professional with experience in logistics, management, or supply chain operations, along with strong analytical and communication abilities.
- At least 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or management.
- Hands-on experience using an ERP platform, preferably SAP, for forecasting, planning, resource management, and inventory control.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across different channels and with multiple teams.
- Experience preparing and analysing management reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercially minded with solid business awareness.
- Highly organised with strong coordination skills.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is essential.
- Good data analysis capability.
