Role overview
This position is for an accomplished procurement leader to oversee purchasing and supplier operations in a fast-moving healthcare setting. The role focuses on building sourcing strategies, tightening governance, managing vendors, and keeping essential goods and services flowing reliably to support business operations.
Leadership and team development
- Guide, mentor, and grow the procurement and logistics teams so they can meet department goals and deliver strong service.
- Support the team in running tenders, RFPs, and RFQs from preparation through execution.
Procurement strategy and governance
- Create and roll out sourcing approaches that improve value, control spend, and align with business priorities.
- Put procurement policies, workflows, and standards into practice while keeping them compliant with regulatory and internal expectations.
- Encourage strong procurement practices without losing sight of governance, compliance, and day-to-day efficiency.
Stakeholder and supplier management
- Work closely with internal teams to make sure procurement needs are understood, met, and followed correctly.
- Develop solid working relationships with important suppliers and vendors to improve collaboration and delivery quality.
- Track supplier performance actively and resolve supply, quality, and contract-related concerns quickly.
Risk, compliance, and audit management
- Monitor procurement activity to ensure it meets internal rules, audit expectations, and regulatory obligations.
- Spot procurement risks early and apply controls and mitigation measures to reduce operational and commercial exposure.
- Keep procurement records complete and organized so they are ready for internal or external audits at any time.
Contract and process management
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including review, renewal, and execution on schedule.
- Regularly assess and refine procurement processes to improve output, speed, and overall effectiveness.
