QC Inspector

Role Overview

The QC Inspector is responsible for monitoring product quality during production and shipping, ensuring that materials and finished goods meet required standards before they move forward in the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify the JFT before production begins.
• Inspect raw materials before the start of production.
• Carry out quality checks at production start-up.
• Perform in-process inspections during production.
• Separate non-conforming items using HOLD tags and clear conforming items with QC PASSED tags.
• Ensure any held materials are scrapped based on the QA Unit Head’s recommendation and approval from Operations.
• Collect the necessary samples for each new printing or production order to prepare the job jacket.
• Submit daily inspection records to the Unit Head.
• Hand over shift information to the next shift using the logbook.
• Escalate non-conformance issues to the Unit Head and track corrective actions until closure.
• Inform the Shift Supervisor and machine crew about any non-conforming products.
• Perform finished goods shipping inspections during loading and issue clearance when requirements are met.

Authorities

• Approve the first-piece production for the job order.
• Stop production on any machine if a non-conforming product is identified.
