The business is expanding its associate network for upcoming client engagements. This creates an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that have real impact.
This position suits someone who enjoys end-to-end project delivery and wants to help ensure projects are delivered effectively. The work is fully remote, although there may be occasional travel to client locations when required.
Role summary
This is a contract, engagement-based associate role for a Project Manager based in Melbourne, with the flexibility to work remotely.
Compensation is advertised at $800 per day, with room for negotiation.
The pipeline of work is growing, and assignments will be project based.
Key responsibilities
Own delivery of technology or transformation projects from initiation through completion, with accountability for results and outcomes.
Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and governance across the project lifecycle.
Keep sponsors, steering groups, internal teams, and external vendors aligned through proactive stakeholder management.
Work independently with limited oversight while driving delivery forward.
Prepare clear written and verbal communication, including status updates for senior stakeholders.
Use sound judgement and structured problem-solving when priorities compete or project complexity increases.
What you will bring
You should have at least 5 years of experience managing technology or transformation projects end to end.
Strong stakeholder coordination skills and the ability to communicate professionally are essential.
You need to be confident working autonomously and comfortable handling delivery responsibilities without close supervision.
Experience with project governance, reporting, and balancing competing priorities will be important.
Nice to have
Experience in the public sector, local government, or consulting environments would be an advantage.
Exposure to technology implementations or ERP system rollouts is beneficial.
Familiarity with formal project delivery approaches such as Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK, or comparable methods is desirable.
Experience managing external vendors or delivery partners would also be valued.
Work location and style
The role is described as fully remote, with Melbourne as the base location and occasional travel to client sites when needed.
