Project Manager

Role overview

This full-time Project Manager position is based in Leipzig, Germany, within a technically advanced manufacturing setting. The role focuses on steering complex engineering and production projects through every stage, from the initial technical handover to assembly, testing, and final shipment.

You will work across sales, engineering, production, and supply chain functions to keep delivery moving smoothly. The opportunity sits within an international business that develops innovative HVAC and cooling solutions for critical industries around the world.

What you will do

• Take ownership of the end-to-end manufacturing workflow from project transfer to final dispatch.
• Partner with Technical Sales Support to make sure customer orders move cleanly into production planning.
• Contribute to international assignments as part of a global project delivery team.
• Maintain supplier coordination around component lead times, quality expectations, and technical compliance.
• Work with engineering and design specialists to define technical needs and manage any design changes.
• Oversee technical aspects of HVAC and cooling systems such as fans, heat exchangers, filtration units, dampers, controls, and instrumentation.
• Ensure the right internal and external resources are assigned to meet project goals.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to support on-time completion and delivery.
• Spot issues early and drive resolution for both technical and operational challenges across the project lifecycle.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, and brings at least five years of experience in project management, production management, manufacturing operations, or a similar technical environment.

Experience with HVAC, cooling systems, air handling units (AHUs), or related building services technologies would be a strong advantage. You should be highly organised, analytical, and comfortable solving problems in a fast-moving setting. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Fluency in both German and English is required, in writing and speaking. The role also calls for a willingness to travel within Germany and internationally when needed.
