Role Overview

This position is centered on battery pack production, shop-floor execution, quality control, safety, and continuous improvement. The engineer will be responsible for hitting production targets, maintaining documentation, supporting team capability building, and ensuring smooth coordination across production, quality, supply chain, maintenance, and planning functions.

Production Responsibilities

  • Drive daily output to meet the planned productivity targets and overall equipment effectiveness goals.
  • Prepare and close daily production MIS and maintain production records.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation such as SOPs, process check sheets, and OPLs.
  • Train operators and support skill development on the line.
  • Plan and execute production schedules to match customer demand while using resources efficiently.
  • Work with the supply chain team to keep raw materials and components available on time.

Quality Control Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain a defect-free production process.
  • Apply quality control standards consistently across the manufacturing flow.
  • Partner with the quality assurance team to resolve production-related quality issues quickly.

  • Handle lithium-ion battery pack manufacturing, including charging and discharging processes, BCT, BMS, and safety requirements.
  • Understand key battery parameters such as OCV, IR, cell dimensions, nominal voltage, SOC, C-rate, and cell technology.
  • Support end-to-end battery pack assembly as well as rework and defect correction.
  • Use process control methods such as Poka-Yoke, CAPA, QCC, one-point lessons, and 8D reports.
  • Contribute to low-cost automation efforts and coordinate implementation with relevant departments.
  • Apply quality and process frameworks including PFD, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
  • Identify bottlenecks, improve cycle time, and support kaizen activities, including MOST-based cycle time studies.
  • Help ensure monthly scheduling through coordination with PPC and resource availability planning.
  • Support capacity planning and manpower planning based on production forecasts.
  • Maintain SOPs and work instructions and train team members on updated processes.
  • Work toward IATF 16949-aligned product quality requirements.
  • Promote continuous 5S improvement across the workplace.
