About the Role

ANZ is seeking a Product Analyst (Data) to join the Product Analytics team. In this position, you will help drive data-informed decisions across banking products by producing reliable reporting, delivering actionable insights, supporting pricing models, and assessing product performance across rates, fees, and packages.

You will partner with stakeholders to strengthen reporting workflows, improve data quality, and uncover opportunities that enhance product outcomes and customer experience. This role also contributes to governance uplift and supports developments across packages, pricing, rewards, and loyalty offerings.

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Location: ANZ corporate sites in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch.

What You’ll Do

• Check scheduled dashboards and reports to make sure product performance data across rates, fees, and packages remains current and accurate for stakeholders.
• Respond to reporting and analysis requests by creating or improving reports and sharing insights that inform product and pricing decisions.
• Examine datasets to spot patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities that can lift product performance and customer outcomes.
• Streamline reporting processes and maintain data repositories to improve efficiency, quality, and governance.
• Work with cross-functional teams on product enhancements, pricing models, and loyalty or package initiatives by providing evidence-based recommendations.

What You’ll Bring

• Hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting tools, and query languages such as SQL, Tableau, and SAS, with the ability to turn raw data into meaningful insight.
• Strong Excel capability, including pivot tables and lookups, together with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• A naturally curious, analytical approach and the ability to learn new systems, products, and complex datasets quickly.
• Clear communication skills and confidence in turning analysis into practical recommendations for different stakeholders.
• The ability to juggle priorities, meet deadlines, and continuously improve reporting and process efficiency.
• Background in banking products or exposure to senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence decisions through data-backed recommendations.
