Role overview
Meta is looking for an organized, self-driven professional to support its expanding European Privacy and Data Policy function. Based in Dublin, this position focuses on stakeholder engagement and policy outreach across Ireland and the UK, with exposure to emerging and complex data policy topics. The role combines strategic policy work, relationship building, and project coordination in a fast-moving, cross-functional setting. You will also present to both internal teams and external audiences while contributing to work on new and evolving public policy questions.
What you will do
- Track and assess data policy developments that could affect Meta’s interests in Ireland and the UK.
- Review legislative and regulatory proposals related to privacy, data, and adjacent technology matters across Ireland, the UK, and the wider European region.
- Partner with cross-functional colleagues to shape policy positions, including drafting submissions and engagement plans for local policy stakeholders.
- Create and implement forward-looking approaches to address policy risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as policymakers, academics, and NGOs in Ireland and the UK.
- Represent Meta in meetings, forums, and conferences.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or a higher qualification in a relevant field.
- At least 6 years of professional experience in public policy, ideally with exposure to privacy, data policy, or related technology areas.
- Proven experience leading strategic outreach with a wide range of stakeholders in policy, advocacy, or government environments.
- Comfort working across functions and balancing several competing timelines and priorities.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience applying responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias reduction, and quality or accuracy review.
- Evidence of continuous AI learning, such as prompt or context engineering, agent orchestration, and keeping pace with new AI tools and trends.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve or redesign workflows and achieve measurable outcomes such as better efficiency or higher quality.
