About the Organization
Anudip Foundation is a Section 8 not-for-profit organization established in 2007 and registered under the Companies Act, 2013. As a partner of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, it works to create digital livelihood opportunities for young people from underserved communities. The organization uses technology-enabled training to deliver diploma and certificate programs through centers located in urban, peri-urban, and remote rural areas. Its curriculum is designed to match employer needs and has supported placements across retail, microfinance, IT, digital services, and automation. Over 100,000 learners have been trained through more than 92 centers across 20 major states in India.
Role Overview
This is a full-time role based in Jamshedpur that requires working from the center/on-site. The Placement Manager will strengthen employer partnerships, identify suitable vacancies, and coordinate recruitment activity for learners. The position also involves candidate preparation, placement tracking, reporting, and external representation at job fairs, hiring events, and employer meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with employers, hiring managers, and HR teams to generate placement opportunities.
- Identify open roles and match learners to positions that suit their skills and career goals.
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives, employer interactions, job fairs, and outreach meetings.
- Support candidates through career guidance, interview coaching, counseling, mock interviews, and constructive feedback.
- Work closely with trainers and center teams to ensure training outcomes align with market demand and employer expectations.
- Maintain accurate placement data, candidate records, and outcome tracking systems.
- Prepare periodic reports on placement progress, employer engagement, and hiring results.
- Represent the organization in external forums and build new hiring partnerships through professional networking.
- Manage follow-ups and coordination tasks in an organized and timely manner.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Strong ability to manage employer relationships through networking, client servicing, and engagement with HR stakeholders.
- Experience in counseling students or candidates, including career guidance and interview readiness support.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with clear spoken and written English and local language skills where needed.
- Capability to study job market trends, interpret employer requirements, and shape placement efforts accordingly.
- Good organizational and coordination skills for handling placement drives, visits, fairs, and follow-ups.
- Comfort with MS Office, spreadsheets, and online tools for tracking data and preparing reports.
- Background in placements, recruitment, corporate relations, training, or development is preferred, especially in the education or skilling sector.
- A graduate degree in any discipline is required; a postgraduate qualification in management, HR, or a related area is an added advantage.
- Empathy, patience, and a learner-focused mindset for working with youth from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Willingness to travel locally for employer meetings, job fairs, and outreach activities.
- Established links with IT employers for roles such as data analysis, data annotation, LiDAR technology, MIS, and related functions.
