About the role
This warehouse-style package handling position is based in Kamloops, British Columbia, with FedEx Canada. The role focuses on moving freight efficiently through the facility while supporting day-to-day shipment flow and sorting operations.
What you will do
- Load and unload freight as it moves through the site.
- Scan incoming and outgoing freight accurately.
- Sort freight within the facility to keep shipments moving on schedule.
Skills, knowledge, and capabilities
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs rules is an asset.
- Strong people skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to complete all required initial and recurring training successfully.
- Physical capability to lift up to 70 lb and handle packages weighing up to 150 lb with the proper equipment.
- Comfort working in a PC/Windows environment.
Additional requirements and conditions
This role is expected to handle all other duties assigned as needed. It requires the ability to meet minimum standards on mandatory tests and training, maintain annual credentials where applicable, and work variable schedules based on business needs. If the employee resides in Quebec, bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
For positions where driving is a core job duty, applicants must hold a valid driver’s licence such as Class 5, G, or 1 (AZ) and have a driving record with no more than two infractions and/or accidents in the 24 months before the application date. Selection may also consider the current driving record, interview performance, and the results of any driving-skill assessment.
Compensation and schedule
The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Availability is required from Monday to Saturday between 05:00 AM and 8:00 AM. The posting dates listed are 04/29/2026 to 05/07/2026.
