Role Overview
Our client, a medical device company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to take charge of the transition of an innovative healthcare product from prototype stage into commercial-scale manufacturing. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, where you will work across teams to build robust, compliant, and scalable production operations for a next-generation device.
What You Will Do
- Own the full NPI journey from engineering handoff through to successful production build.
- Create and refine manufacturing methods, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Set up production flow, factory layout, and material movement processes.
- Help maintain quality systems aligned to ISO 13485 and support audit preparedness.
- Track and resolve non-conformances, CAPAs, and manufacturing records.
- Build scale-up plans, production readiness milestones, and cost models.
What We Are Looking For
- A degree in Engineering, ideally in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related discipline.
- Solid experience in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or production engineering.
- Background in moving products from prototype development into full production.
- Good working knowledge of DFM/DFA, process development, and supplier coordination.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and manufacturing quality management systems.
