Meat Preparation Operative

Role overview

Arthur Mallon Foods is looking to add a Meat Preparation Operative to its expanding production team in Monaghan, County Monaghan, Ireland. The role supports sausage meat preparation, which is important for keeping finished products consistent, mainly pork-based items.

What you'll be doing

• Unbox incoming meat and prepare it for processing.
• Follow recipe formulations accurately.
• Enter production and process data as required.
• Use mincing and chopping machinery safely and effectively.
• Work in line with hygiene and safety requirements at all times.
• Support the wider production team in achieving output targets while protecting product quality.

What we're looking for

• Experience in meat preparation or a similar environment is an advantage, though not mandatory.
• A good working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to handle and move items weighing up to 25 kg within a chilled production setting.
• Basic spoken and written English to support communication and teamwork.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and provide cover for the evening shift when needed.
