Machine Operator

About the Role

This is a practical, active position with a leading waste management and resource recovery business in Ireland. The role is part of a team that keeps waste and recycling services moving safely and efficiently for customers and local communities.

The work is physically demanding, fast-moving, and largely outdoors. It suits someone dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable taking a hands-on approach every day.

What You’ll Do

• Move customer bins to and from collection points along assigned routes in a safe and efficient way
• Work outside with early start times and early finishes
• Load and unload vehicles carefully and correctly
• Handle, stack, and move materials according to safety and storage rules
• Assist with yard and warehouse tasks when needed
• Keep work areas tidy, organised, and safe through general housekeeping tasks
• Check equipment regularly and report damage, defects, or wear
• Follow all health and safety requirements, site procedures, and company policies
• Deal with customers and the public in a professional manner
• Work well within a busy team while also being able to work independently
• Build capability in using loaders and material-handling equipment when required
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by management

Training and Working Style
