Role Overview

This position is for a senior full stack engineer focused on building and supporting e-commerce applications with search engine optimization considerations. The role combines backend and frontend engineering, API work, quality practices, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Create, enhance, and support full stack applications that meet SEO needs for an e-commerce environment.
• Develop RESTful APIs and connect them with React-based user interfaces.
• Review code, uphold coding guidelines, and guide the team toward stronger engineering habits.
• Investigate issues across both server-side and client-side components and fix defects to keep the application reliable.
• Prepare and update technical documentation while following security and software quality best practices during development.

Required Experience and Technical Skills

• 7 to 12 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• At least 6 years of hands-on work in Java.
• Preference for 2 or more years of experience with reactive programming.
• Strong foundation in Core Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience with React for building responsive, maintainable UI components.
• Practical knowledge of Spring Boot for backend services, integrations, and scalable API development.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.

Good to Have

• Exposure to reactive programming with Java 17 or later.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools such as Docker or AKS.
• Experience with automated testing and observability tools such as JUnit, Selenium, PyTest, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Understanding of security practices including API security, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
• Background in Agile or Scrum delivery and Git-based workflows.
• Prior experience in the retail domain.

Education

Any graduate or any post-graduate qualification in any branch, or an equivalent level of experience.
