About the role

voco Oxford Spires is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team on a full-time basis. The role is based in Oxford, England, at a stylish hotel near the River Thames and close to the city centre, museums, and university colleges. The property offers all-day dining at Deacons Restaurant, drinks at Deacon’s Bar, and outdoor seating on the terraces. The hotel is set within gardens and is known for its welcoming, relaxed style and environmentally conscious approach.

The pay for this position is £13.15 per hour, which works out to an annual equivalent of £27,352.00. Staff accommodation in Oxford is available.

What you’ll do

• Support the kitchen team by carrying out porter duties to keep the operation running smoothly.
• Work as part of a busy hospitality team and contribute to high standards of guest service through quality work.
• Help maintain pace and efficiency in a fast-moving kitchen with deadlines to meet.
• Be open to learning new tasks and collaborating with the wider hotel team.

What we’re looking for

• A genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent service.
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or Prep Chef is preferred.
• Confidence working in a busy kitchen environment and handling deadline-driven work.
• A team-focused attitude and willingness to learn.
